(P1): Son of a Serendipitous Glitch Brainstorm

This project feels challenging because of its open-ended nature and lack of student examples, which makes me hesitant to start. While I understand the goal is to embrace randomness and let AI guide the process, I prefer organization and want each glitched image to follow a clear theme. I’ve always been fascinated by how AI interprets human emotions, a concept that is deeply complex and often difficult for algorithms to capture. This tension between AI’s attempts to depict emotional values and its inherent limitations aligns perfectly with the theme I want to explore.

The human mind is intricate, and no AI system can fully comprehend or replicate its depth. This "glitchiness" in AI’s understanding of emotions will be central to my project. Glitching AI-generated images of human emotions symbolizes how technology struggles to grasp the nuances of our inner world. While prompting AI tools to generate emotion-based images might be tricky, that challenge adds to the intrigue of the process.

Ultimately, I aim to create a series of works that are clear, cohesive, and easy for audiences to understand. Despite the randomness and chance-driven nature of the project, I want the emotional theme to shine through in a way that feels intentional and thoughtful. It will be difficult to balance chaos and clarity, but I’m excited to see how the final product comes together. This process will push me creatively, and I look forward to exploring the intersection of human emotion, AI, and glitch art.
