Welcome to my website! My name is Deidra Heil, and I am from Louisville, Colorado. I'm an Art Practices major with a focus on graphic design and a Communications minor. I took a digital art class in high school, and ever since then, I have fallen in love with art and creating. I was recently part of a professional exhibition where I was immersed in a scene of other artists and their creations, which was a wonderful experience that opened my eyes to the world of art. I think that art is a perfect way to be expressive and unique. Everyone has their own creative style and ideas, making for a fun and insightful environment. I don't feel like I have one specific style or narrative in my pieces, but I do like to add deeper meaning to some of my art and overall create eye-catching/aesthetic works. Although I focus on digital art and graphic design, I do have some experience in drawing and painting, and I love photography. I think it can be useful to experiment with and combine different mediums to enhance and better your artwork. My philosophy in art is to be yourself and have fun, and I believe that no style or form of art is superior to one another. In the future, I hope to work with companies to create web graphics and advertisements, as well as work with user interface and user design. I’m always looking to better myself as an artist, and I believe that there is always room for improvement and no one is perfect. That being said, I believe it is crucial to have honest critiques in order to improve as added input allows for new ideas. There are so many ways to be creative and the beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
